Sinopse: The edited book, Peripheral Identities - Iberia and Eastern Europe between the dictatorial past and the European present, fills up the research gap on mutual readings and comparisons between Slavic and other Eastern European countries, on the one hand, and the Iberian nations, on the other hand. The book intends to contribute to contemporary comparative area studies, as well as to epistemological and ethical debates about the question of otherness and centre-periphery dynamics, and can be of use for educational and research purposes. This new 2017 edition is updated and expanded with new texts and perspectives.
